Edumento – Terms of Agreement

Welcome to Edumento, a suite of educational mobile applications and web services operated by Edumento Ltd, registered in the United Kingdom. These Terms of Agreement (“Terms”, “Agreement”) govern your access to and use of our apps, websites, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

By accessing or using Edumento, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. About Edumento

Edumento is an educational platform offering interactive learning experiences for children, parents, and teachers through mobile applications, quizzes, stories, and AI-powered content. Our goal is to make learning fun, safe, and measurable for families and schools.

3. Eligibility

You may use Edumento if:

  • You are at least 18 years old (for parents and teachers).
  • You are the legal guardian of any child using the app under your supervision.
  • You comply with all applicable local laws and regulations.

Children under 13 may use Edumento only under parental or teacher supervision.

4. Accounts and Access

To use certain features, you must create an account by providing accurate information (such as name and email). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately at support@edumento.com.

5. Free and Premium Plans

Edumento offers:

  • Free Plan: Basic access to limited content and features.
  • Premium Plan: Full access to all educational materials, stories, quizzes, parental dashboards, and analytics.

Premium subscriptions are billed monthly through Paddle, our payment processor.

5.1 Subscription and Renewal

  • Subscriptions automatically renew each billing cycle unless canceled.
  • You can cancel anytime before the renewal date to avoid further charges.
  • Upon cancellation, you retain access until the end of your current billing period.
  • Renewal reminders are sent by Paddle before each billing date.

5.2 Payment Processing

Payments are securely processed by Paddle.com, acting as the Merchant of Record (MoR). All taxes (VAT/GST) are handled by Paddle according to your country’s regulations.

6. Use of the Service

You agree not to:

  • Copy, distribute, or modify any Edumento content without permission.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the apps or backend services.
  • Share your account credentials with others.
  • Upload harmful or illegal material to the platform.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

7. Educational Content

All stories, quizzes, videos, and interactive materials within Edumento are designed for educational purposes only. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that all educational content is error-free or suitable for every child’s learning level.

8. Parental Responsibility

Parents or guardians are responsible for:

  • Supervising children’s use of Edumento apps.
  • Managing subscriptions and payments.
  • Monitoring time spent and ensuring age-appropriate usage.

9. AI-Powered Features

Certain Edumento apps include AI-generated responses, chatbots, or educational guidance. AI responses are intended for learning purposes and should not replace teacher or parental instruction. We continuously monitor and filter AI content for safety and appropriateness.

10. Privacy and Data

Your privacy is important to us. By using Edumento, you agree to our Privacy Policy, which describes:

  • What data we collect (e.g., usage statistics, learning progress, subscription info)
  • How it’s used to improve learning experiences
  • How it’s stored and protected

We comply with GDPR and COPPA principles for child safety and data protection.

11. Intellectual Property

All trademarks, logos, design elements, and content within Edumento are owned by Edumento Ltd or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the apps solely for educational and personal use.

12. Refund Policy

Because Edumento offers digital content, refunds are handled through our payment partner Paddle in accordance with their policies. If you experience issues or believe you were charged in error, please contact us at support@edumento.com within 14 days of purchase.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Edumento if:

  • You breach these Terms.
  • You engage in abusive or fraudulent behavior.
  • Required by law or App Store policy.

Upon termination, your access to premium content will be revoked.

14. Third-Party Services

Our apps may link to third-party content (e.g., YouTube videos, educational APIs). We are not responsible for external sites or their privacy practices.

15. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

Edumento provides educational tools “as is”, without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Edumento Ltd and its partners shall not be liable for any:

  • Loss of data, profits, or business interruptions
  • Educational outcomes or reliance on AI responses
  • Technical issues beyond our reasonable control

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically to reflect legal, operational, or product changes. When updated, the “Last Updated” date will change and users will be notified through our website or apps.

Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and interpreted according to the laws of Kosovo. Any disputes will be handled under the jurisdiction of UK courts.
